Brand Reflection #2: Apple

I recently booked an appointment with the Genius Bar at Apple to look into getting my damaged laptop screen replaced. After owning the laptop for a couple of years, the top layer of the screen had been rubbed off due to oils. Obviously I was annoyed that I had to take the computer in at all, but after booking the appointment online, I was in and out of the Apple retail store within 20 minutes, with my computer dropped off for repair and a day to come pick it back up.

After returning to the store to pick up my computer, I walked around the crowded store and noticed the huge amount of products they had displayed around the floor. Apple these days seems to be a modern, sleek, well-organized mess. The brand is always in high-demand, in the pocket or on the desk of seemingly everyone around us, and constantly crowded in-store. Despite all of the retail chaos, however, Apple seems to have a large staff with the knowledge of every single product, and a system that runs like clockwork to handle the constant flow of customers.

I only needed to stay in the store for about twenty minutes, but was engaged for much longer than that. I'm not in the Apple store very often, so being in the well-displayed store enticed me to look around and see all the new products I've been seeing commercials of. Apple these days never fails to impress their wide-base of new and dedicated customers, and over time, has been able to get their users hooked, and reliant on whatever they come out with. Now that my laptop has been fixed so quickly and that appointment gave me a reason to see their new products in person, I'd say I'm more involved with the brand more than ever, and am excited to experience their next product that I "have to have."
